1. Protection may not be permanent due to shrinkage and breaks in bond with framing materials.
2. Rigid urethane foam should not be used on A/C flex ducts, because its hydraulic strength while curing can compress the duct and impair air flow, and it is too difficult to remove if necessary.
3. While wet blown cellulose will not prevent the addition of electrical wiring, the performance of the insulation in the stud cavity will be compromised by such addition.
